Signing in
First sign-in, passwords, sessions and what to do if you are locked out.
Your username is your email address. The administrator creates the account and gives you a temporary password.
First sign-in
- Open the console address for your practice on a device connected to the practice network.
- Enter your email address and the temporary password.
- You are taken straight to the password screen. Choose a new password of at least ten characters with at least one letter and one digit. Nothing else in the console opens until you have done this.
Sessions
A session ends after twelve hours without activity and after seven days in any case. Changing your password signs out every other session. The Users tab lists your sessions (address and last activity) and has a Sign out everywhere action.
Locked out
Five failed attempts within fifteen minutes, per address or per username, block further attempts for that window. Wait fifteen minutes and try again, or ask the administrator to set a new temporary password. Failures and blocks are recorded in the audit log.
Roles
| Role | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator | Everything, including users, deletes and the audit log | |
| Advisor | Edit, commit intake, draft, approve, upload signed documents, delete intakes | Manage users, delete registers, see the audit log |
| Read-only | View | Change anything |
Any non-administrator can be scoped to an advisor name. A scoped user sees and changes only that advisor's clients across every tab, the approval queue, intake, the registers and file downloads.
